A resident of Port Moody for 15 years, Diana and her two children live in the lower Noons Creek Drive area.
Diana served a previous term on City Council from 1999-2002 before taking a term off and was honoured to be elected again in 2005.
While previously on Council, Diana took pride in championing many initiatives including the establishment of a Business Recognition Event, the creation of a Cosmetic Pesticides Bylaw, the development of Secondary Suite regulations for the City and the building of Inlet Centre. Additionally, she participated in all civic committees and chaired many of them.
During this term, she hopes to advocate for responsible and smart growth – commercial, residential, civic – while ensuring the preservation of our unique environmental and heritage character. She supports the many plans that have been prepared by previous Councils and is looking forward to supporting their implementation.
Diana has been committed to serving the community since moving here. She has been actively involved in Girl Guides, Port Moody Aquarians, Golden Spike Days, Kariba Community Society, Terry Fox Run and the District 43 Parent Advisory Council. Currently, Diana volunteers as a Board Director and a Visiting Volunteer for the Crossroads Hospice Society.
In addition to working as a City Councillor, Diana is Manager of Operations for a non-profit organization that focuses on advancing sustainability. She is a graduate of Capilano College’s certificate program in Local Government Administration and has spent the last eight years pursing a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration through the Open University in her spare time.
