 Mike was born, and currently lives, in Moody Centre where his family has lived since 1935. He has been involved for the past 30+ years with the marine activities at Rocky Point Park, and continues to spend much of his time in the park on various sporting activites and walking his dog .
Mike has a background in computer programming and consulting, including owning a technology consulting company for the past 12 years. His particular areas of focus and strength in business has been in financial planning/accounting - including developing financial management software - and personnel management.
He has previously served on the Burrard Thermal Liaison Committee and the Major Capital Finance task force, attends as many community events as possible, and is a member of the Ioco Heritage Lawn Bowling Society, Old Mill Boathouse Society, Rocky Point Sailing Association and Port Moody Canoe and Kayak Club.
In his (limited) spare time, Mike enjoys sailing, kayaking, biking, rollerblading, hockey, golf and snowboarding.
