 Shannon has lived in the community of Pleasantside in Port Moody for 23 years and has been an active part of the dance and arts community for 18 years. She attended Pleasantside Elementary, Moody Junior and Port Moody Senior Secondary. Dance continues to be a major part of her life as she continues as a dancer as well as teaching students various forms of Polynesian Dance in the lower mainland.
Shannon is currently completing her Bachelor of Arts degree at Simon Fraser University majoring in Political Science as well as with Certificates in Spanish Language and Liberal Arts with the goal of being an educator.
As the youngest female councillor Port Moody has ever elected, she is committed to increasing the involvement of youth as well as finding ways to enhance the relationships between youth and the elders of our community.
