Grants to Organizations
As part of the annual 5-Year Financial Plan deliberations the funding for the Grants to Organizations program has been temporarily discontinued for the years 2010 and 2011.  As the financial plan is reviewed annually, the funding could be reinstated in the 2011 5-Year Financial Plan.  Please check the website for more information in early 2011.

April 2007  City Manager's Presentation Calls for Property Tax Reform
Gaetan Royer, Port Moody City Manager, has created a presentation that was prepared for submission to the Province regarding the inequity created by the Port Property Tax cap.

Port Moody is proposing that the Province initiate a review of the municipal tax framework. Our case is that the municipal tax framework, as it currently exists, cannot be used to implement provincial and national economic development goals such as improving port competitiveness. Port Moody is asking that the Province cease interfering with property taxes and remove the artificial cap. To view the presentation, click here.
