Posted November 28, 2003At the Regular Council meeting on November 25, Council gave three readings to a bylaw that bans pesticides for cosmetic use on private land beginning in January, 2006.
No Yard Waste Collection November 22, 2003 through April 19, 2004
An unseasonably warm autumn has delayed many trees from shedding their leaves. This is also the first year that yard waste collection is stopped for the winter. As a result, an additional week of yard waste collection has been scheduled in order for residents to adapt to the change.

Bears not hibernating

PORT MOODY - The City recommends that residents remove bird feeders and to take care with garbage receptacles and compost bins to avoid attracting black bears onto their properties. Many bears are still awake as a result of our mild winter and bears that did hibernate are expected to be "up" earlier than usual.
