PORT MOODY - The federal and provincial governments are each contributing over $4.1 million toward nine community infrastructure projects with a total value of more than $27.4million under the Canada-British Columbia Infrastructure Program.

Ltd (PCT) was recognized by the City of Port Moody for an important environmental initiative. Onni/Suter Brook Greenway Fund At a ceremony held today on the shore of Port Moody Inlet, Onni Group of Companies President Rosano DeCotiis presented a $275,500 cheque to the City of Port Moody. The cheque is part of an agreement between the developer and the city to ensure the continued protection and enhancement of Suter Brook, a stream that flows through Onni’s development site to the inlet.

Port Moody anounces tsunami relief plans Posted: January 12, 2005
PORT MOODY - Council at last evening's council meeting supported a resolution for the city to provide modest support for tsunami relief and to investigate the concept of adopting a village in Southeast Asia.

Flags lowered for National Day of Mourning Mayor Joe Trasolini ordered Port Moody flags be lowered to half-staff today in response to the Canadian government's announcement of a National Day of Mourning for those lost in the earthquake and tsunami in Asia on December 26.
