The Honourable James Moore, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages, announced funding on Friday, February 26 for the Port Moody Commemorative Society and the Port Moody Golden Spike Days Society. These two organizations will present activities that showcase local talent in celebration of the Canadian Navy Centennial in 2010.

"I wish to congratulate the Port Moody Commemorative Society and Golden Spike Days Society for their successful grant funding,” said Mayor Trasolini, “The combined energies and enthusiasm of these groups ensure great events for citizens of the Tri-Cities to enjoy right here in our Rocky Point Park."
