This is the standard size issued. Residents who upgraded to a 240 L cart for a fee have seen the charge on their utility bill.
This cart has bear-resistant locks. Remember to unclip your locks before putting garbage out.
Garbage is collected weekly.

If you live in a single-family home or in a townhouse with curbside service, pickup is
bi-weekly. If you live in a multi-unit residence with centralized recycling, pickup is weekly. See the 2009 city calendar for a detailed schedule.

Residents may request up to two extra carts for an additional annual fee of $60 per cart. Carts may be requested by faxing a request form to 469-4530, or by filling out the online cart request form here. Requests received up to November 30th of each year will be processed and delivered in early December. Additional charges will apply to the following calendar year.
Residents concerned about cleaning their green cart may place their yard waste in Kraft type paper yard trimming bag (available at Canadian Tire, Home Depot, IGA, London Drugs, Real Canadian Superstore, Rona Home Centers, Safeway, Save-on-Foods and Super Valu). Residents wishing to do so can fill the Kraft bags and then place them into the Yard/Kitchen Waste cart. The Kraft bag is bio-degradable and is acceptable in the composting process.
