The City of Port Moody has had its own police department since 1913. The Department is composed of 41 uniformed members and 13 civilian members who each demonstrate a strong commitment to our community. The Department motto is "no call too small" and this philosophy is reflected in an average response time of less than four minutes to calls for service. The community is proud of their enviable low crime rate and attributes this low rate to the cooperative relationship between the Police Department and the citizens of the City.
The Port Moody Police Department is situated at 3051 St. Johns Street. The following volunteer programs are run out of the police department:
- Block Watch
