Port Moody’s professional firefighters are urging everyone to have a happy, but safe Halloween. While fireworks have become a Halloween tradition, they can be dangerous explosives in the wrong hands. When misused, fireworks can ignite clothing causing severe injuries such as burns, lacerations, amputations, and blindness. They can also cause considerable property damage. The firefighters strongly encourage adult supervision when handling or lighting fireworks on Halloween night.
